Medical Needs Mateo was born prematurely, weighing just a couple of pounds. He came to Los Gozosos at six months old where they cared for the special needs of this tiny baby. Mateo had a speech delay, and was recently diagnosed with scoliosis. He will need a series of custom fitted back braces to correct his scoliosis. He continues speech therapy and is a happy little one.

Did you know, that on average, the cost of raising a child with disabilities is four times as much as raising a child with none?  Our children deserve the very best medical care available, so they can lead productive lives.  In order to provide that to them, we need your help.  The cost of doctors, hospital visits, physical therapy, and monthly prescriptions can add up quickly, and is one of the biggest expenses the children's home faces.  In addition to regular medical care, nursing and therapy personnel (both occupational and physical therapists) are a regular part of the staff at the home.
